EFT is a self-help tool. As with any device, learning how to use it well takes practice, and you might benefit from some additional training and support. The actual technique is easy to learn; the art takes a little longer, and that’s where a good coach can help.
Although there are similarities between counseling and coaching, my role as an EFT coach is to help you become good at using this tool, effectively, on your own. In cases where there is a trauma history or significant emotional overwhelm, the healing from EFT coaching can be a powerful adjunct to therapy. If you need therapeutic support and live within a resonable driving distance, you could engage my counseling services. If you are out of the area, and are struggling emotionally, I strongly recommend you find a good local counselor/therapist.
EFT coaching is done over the phone or internet, through applications like Skype or Zoom. Working with a coach will help you stay focused on an issue long enough to clear it. With EFT coaching, you will learn:
- how to identify important aspects of an issue
- what questions to ask yourself
- how to create your own scripts
- when and how to add affirmations
- effective shortcuts
…and more. You can pick my brain, and learn from my more than 20 years of experience working with EFT. Here’s an example: You can find scripts for EFT all over the internet, and some of them are pretty good, especially if they directly hit on the aspects of your specific issue. BUT, there is no substitution for your own words.
